I was moved by the beauty of the Paiwan stone house. The expression of the piled up stone walls touched my heart, and the stone road and bridge looked like a snake. When I visited the stone house in the Rukai village, I saw bright red headdresses, snake pots, and a wooden pillar with a man and snakes in the stone space. Then I visited the Paiwan old Dashe village and saw a beautiful stone river wrapped around the mountain. Two snakes, a symbol of the Paiwan tribe, appeared to wrap around the pot. I think the mountain is a pot and the river is a snake. The pot was a metaphor for the womb, and I felt that I encountered the source of the image of the Paiwan who live in mountains and rivers.
The burned wooden pillars are snake heads or tails, and the waves on the stone walls are snake shapes, river streams, and eagle feathers flying to the sky. I made a snake on the hill of the winter solstice as a symbol of regeneration.
