ステートメント
真摯に自然と向きあう時、人は原始の感覚へと還っていきます。その時におのずと生まれる態度が美であり、その術としての美術があります。自然というのは、外に広がる世界だけではなく、自らの身体の中に連綿と受け継がれる生命としての自然も含まれます。 わたしは旅することで、その土地のもつ力と、その地に生きる人が築いてきた文化との出会いの驚きから生まれる表現を造形化します。その土地から頂く素材を用いて、その土地の人が育んできた表現を学び、人と自然が共に生きていくための場を創造します。わたしを超えて、地が語り始めること、それこそが表現です。
When people straightly face to the nature, primitive sense will return to our feeling. I think fine art is born at that moment. “Nature” is not only at outside of us, contains the life of ourselves, inherited from the origin of life.
By traveling, I am shaping the power of the place, and a delight of meeting the culture, which people built at the place. Having the materials from the land, learning the expression which is created by the people live at the place, I am creating the place where human and nature can live together. The expression of my art, is the moment when earth telling beyond my existence.
